and as of May 11, IS FULL
This training, formerly known as Photojournalism, is patterned after the 2006 creation of this new career field. Formed from the combination of a number of other ratings, the MC Specialists are the Navy’s Public Affairs and Visual Information experts. Cadets will be learning these skills in support of the Region 12 RTC, and other trainings held concurrently at Camp SLO. Some of our activities include: 1) taking, sorting and editing pictures, with taskings to various classes/trainings, and on field trips, 2) interviewing cadets, parents, veterans, and professionals in Public Affairs, and writing stories, 3) making PowerPoint presentations, with projects of customizing a recruiting presentation for the cadet's home unit and making a new presentation, 4) learning basic desktop publishing and graphic design with projects of making a logo, a photo-collage, a letterhead design, and the graduation program, 5) and website uploading. Cadets must be mature and able to take direction and complete individual tasks, as well as work in and around cadets-in-training and their staff without interference. Basic computer knowledge is needed. Cadets interested in this training must contact the COTC prior to sending any requests for orders: Ltjg Dave Autore, princetondiv@sbcglobal.net
